Never Underestimate the Glamour of White Christmas Lights

I once attended a bridal shower with a Winter Wonderland theme. The hosts had decorated the border of the room with white christmas lights and it looked absolutely gorgeous. This one event got me to thinking about all the other ways we could experience the glamour of white christmas lights for events outside of the month of December.

Here are a few ideas…

The idea of adding dainty doilies to white christmas lights is a perfect idea for a bridal shower, baby shower or any other girly event.

When planning large corporate or organizational events, consider asking your lighting vendor to get creative. Not only does a piping and draping system completely transform a budget friendly venue, using white christmas lights behind light and sheer colors will give your event a wow factor guests aren’t expecting.

Looking for a creative way to spruce up some of the plants and nature decor you have around the house for you’re in home gathering? Use those white christmas lights hiding in the basement or attic. String them along your faux (or real) plants and branches to make for some added decor and less abrasive lighting. (Photo:

Yes, I know we all grumble at the people who keep their christmas lights up way into spring time. But, if you’re using them for added decor, it’s not a problem! White christmas lights, lining trees, patios and decks are a great way to keep the backyard event going. If the event starts in the daylight, the lighting of the christmas lights will be a wonderful decor surprise when turned on as the evening gets dim. (Photo:

So, the next time you’re in need of some glamour or creative lighting, run down the basement and pull out those white christmas lights. It will transform your entire event!
